Lindsay and Nick
Lindsay and Nick live in Nashville, where they are both musicians, which meant we didn't get to meet in person before their wedding day. I did talk to them a couple of times over the phone and a lot in email though and my impression was they were adventurous, fearless, and that they trusted in my ability to capture their day without question. All of this came into play on their wedding day and I was thrilled with the outcome.
On the way to Lindsay and Nick's wedding my assistant and I watched dark, heavy clouds roll in from the sea. It was so bad we stopped to pick up more ponchos and umbrellas because this was going to be a big storm and I didn't bring enough with me. When we got to Apalachicola I even scouted out new indoor locations because I was starting to waver and felt like they wouldn't want to venture out in this rain storm.
Lucky for me, I was wrong! Not only did they venture out in the rain they wanted to stick with original plan outside even when the rain got so heavy I even suggested we stop...which has never happened before-I love the rain! At the end of the hour we had created some of my favorite images to date and Lindsay's dress was spotless and dry!
After their pictures we hopped in the cars and headed over to St. George Island for their ceremony. St. George is one of their favorite places to visit and the same place Nick proposed the year before. Waiting for them were their closest family and friends, not a drop of rain, and one of the most beautiful pastel sunsets I've seen. Before the ceremony the kids handed out wildflowers to everyone as they laughed and celebrated Nick and Lindsay. After the ceremony we took family pictures before the party headed over to the Blue Parrot for dinner and drinks.
Lindsay and Nick, thank you so much for trusting in me and all of my crazy ideas! It was an adventurous day full of laughter which I'm sure is a sign of what your future together will be!
