What to Expect: Booking Consultations
I love to meet with couples before they book with me but not for the reasons why you think…
It’s NOT to pressure you to hire me, offer you discounts if you book on the spot, and I’ll never ever cast doubt on any other photographer you may be talking to.
All of that would be super awkward, right?!
Instead, it’s all about getting to know who you are as people so that I can tell your authentic story on your wedding day.
It’s about sharing how I work and what your expectations are so that we are on the same page from start to finish. No stress, no worries!
I usually run through my general FAQ with you and then open it up so that you can ask any questions I didn’t cover or you want more details on.
We can look through real wedding galleries and talk about photography styles, your style, how I use light, and what your final gallery would look like based on your vision.
It’s just a really great way to get to know one another and for you to find out if I am the best fit for you guys as a wedding photographer.
All this being said, I don’t meet with every couple at my studio before they book.
A lot of couples already know me because I photographed their friend’s wedding or they met me at one of the many wedding shows I’m a part of. Usually these couples like to just book their date on my calendar and set up a time to chat later on.
Or maybe meeting in person isn’t easy for you so we can absolutely set up a phone call instead. This happens a lot with busy work schedules or destination weddings (which make up close to 1/3 of my business).
Just know that I’m here for you, want to help in anyway that I can, and create a custom experience before you even choose me to photograph your wedding!
Love what you just read? Let’s set up a time to talk more!
